Trying to keep things going...
First, the negative bit. With Blogger not being a good platform to post the stories on, I'm looking at other options but my financial situation basically screws up all of them, except for a return to something like Fanfiction.net which frankly I can live with, but which also comes with some downsides.
Then, a positive bit. The other fanfic writer that I've mentioned in previous updates ended up getting back to me much sooner than expected, and we've been brainstorming about a new story that I've been wanting to write, and which I'm now in the process of writing, with more brainstorming as the story progresses. It's a story that will fit in multiple categories, but that will lean heavily on fluff and mild humor (I'll go ahead and fully credit the fluff to the other fanficcer, because honestly so much of that stuff comes from her input as she's much better at creating fluff stories than I am).
And then finally, some general stuff...
Yes, I keep bringing up my shitty financial situation, but there may actually be a small light at the end of that tunnel - there might actually be an upcoming method for me to still cover a domain name and self-hosting/setting up with some cheap commercial hosting provider before the end of the year. Don't pin me down on that though, as things can still go south and I've learnt by now that when life can screw you, life will screw you. Also, despite me bringing that situation up all the time, I'm not looking for donations, handouts or anything; I'm looking for solutions to fix my own problem, nothing more. All I'm doing here is letting it be clear why I'm plugging these posts here on Bloggger instead of posting stories on a nice website of my own, and letting it be clear that there is also a chance that things go so far south that I might not even be plugging these posts here on Blogger anymore at some point.
So far, thoughts on advertising and an online store offering physical items/merch went nowhere - I simply don't have any audience for either one of those two options any more, much like my own glory days SevTor has left its glory days far in the past, though unlike myself, perhaps I can still give SevTor some more glory days in the not-too-distant future.
Thoughts for an online store selling original stories of my own in ebook formats are still floating around, though here too, lacking that audience is still the issue, as is advertising though advertising is a smaller issue.
